Temasek completes third-biggest Singapore equity deal in 2011.

Equity capital markets
Volume in the equity capital markets totalled $2.3 billion from 18 transactions this week, bringing the year-to-date volume to $136.7 billion, down 33% on the $205.8 billion completed in the same period last year.

Temasek Holding’s $513 million equity-linked deal was the biggest transaction this week and also marks the third-biggest Singaporean deal so far this year.

The top three banks in the league table rankings remain unchanged, with Goldman Sachs taking $11.4 billion, followed by Morgan Stanley and UBS.

Deals scheduled to price next week include a $1 billion follow-on for Daewoo Securities and a $108 million to $124 million IPO for Parkson Retail Asia.

Debt capital markets
A $994 million bond for Korea National Corp was the only G3-currency trade this week in Asia. The deal was led by HSBC, Barclays Capital, KDB, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and RBS. HSBC continues to dominate the league table ranking with $8.9 billion, followed by Citi and Deutsche Bank.
