AsianInvestor magazine is pleased to announce the appointment of Alastair Reed as reporter. He is relocating from Edinburgh, UK to Hong Kong in January.
With AsianInvestor magazine expanding to a monthly format as of February 2006, Reed will play an important role in supporting the ongoing coverage of mutual funds, pension reform, institutional investment trends and other related themes. His primary area of coverage will be Southeast Asia.
In addition, Reed will develop the magazine's coverage of the insurance industry across the region, to complement the existing reporting on pensions and fund management.
Since early 2004, Reed has been a business reporter at The Scotsman, a daily newspaper, where he also covered events in the City, London. He got his start as a shift reporter at the Glasgow Herald.
