Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BoA Merrill) has hired Kenny Zhang and Lendy Cui as relationship managers for its corporate banking team in China, according to an internal memo.

Zhang has more than 12 years of corporate and investment banking experience and joins the bank from Lunar Capital where he was a business partner. Cui has more than 13 years of banking experience with over five years working as a corporate banker for Citibank and Rabobank.

Both Zhang and Cui will be based in Shanghai and report to Huang Xiaoguang, head of corporate banking for China at BoA Merrill. They will be responsible for managing relationships across cash and trade, loans and capital markets with the bank’s Chinese state-owned enterprise clients.

“As China’s corporations continue to grow their business, many will become global players and be increasingly savvy about their foreign exchange rates, corporate finance and cash management needs,” said Huang. “At Bank of America Merrill Lynch, we pledge to provide them with a full suite of our capabilities that will serve them well, and these new hires to our team in China will focus on our coverage of local corporations.”
