Treasury appointments, June 28

A roundup of the latest CFO and treasurer moves from around the region.

Benguet Corporation: The Philippines-based mineral exploration and development company promoted Max D. Arceño to assistant vice-president of treasury on June 24. He joined the company in 1985 as an accountant and was most recently division manager for audit and tax. He holds a degree in accounting from the University of the East and is a certified public accountant.

China 3C Group: Weiping Wang was appointed chief financial officer of the China-based third-party products resale and distribution company on June 21. He replaced Jian Zhang who resigned on June 17. Wang joined the company in January 2010 from Shaanxi Aokai Food where he was deputy general manager. He holds a bachelor degree in business administration from Zhejiang University.

China-Biotics: The China-based probiotic products company announced the resignation of Travis Cai as CFO on June 23. Marie Yang, financial manager of Growing Bioengineering, a subsidiary of China-Biotics, has assumed Cai’s responsibilities until a replacement is found.

New Energy Systems Group: Paul Li will be appointed CFO of the China-based lithium ion battery and consumer branded backup power systems manufacturer on August 16. He will join the company from Sen Yu International where he was also CFO to replace Junfeng Chen who will resign on the same day.
