Citi secures a mandate from Airports of Thailand, while MoneyGram opens its first money transfer kiosk in Vietnam.

Citi secures Thailand mandate

Airports of Thailand Public Company (AOT) has appointed Citi Thailand to provide commercial cards for AOT executives. The cards will help AOT to better manage executive travel expenses. According to Citi, its commercial card is the first card-based expense management solution provided for Thailand’s public sector in the airport industry.

“We are pleased to receive this mandate from AOT and we view this deal as the foundation for our long-term partnership,” said Peter Eliot, Citi’s country head and country officer, in a statement. “Our client will be able to enhance its transparency of expenses with the ability to control exposure and spending.”

MoneyGram opens its first money transfer kiosk in Vietnam

Global money transfer company MoneyGram International has opened its first money transfer kiosk in Vietnam with DongA Bank. As a MoneyGram agent, DongA Bank provides 252 service locations and home delivery throughout the country.

“Vietnam is an increasingly important market in the $400 billion global money transfer industry with more than $7 billion in remittances received in the country in 2010,” said Pamela Patsley, chairman and chief executive of MoneyGram, in a statement. “MoneyGram is committed to growing our presence here. Last year, we increased our network in Vietnam by 30%. We’re very intent on expanding our products and services through Vietnam and we’re doing it creatively with DongA Bank and the introduction of our red kiosks and home delivery.”

MoneyGram has almost 1,500 agent locations in Vietnam and partners with Eximbank, Saigon Bank, Sacombank, Vietcombank and Vietnam International Bank (VIB) as well as DongA Bank.

RTS opens new office in Hong Kong

Global trading solutions provider Realtime Systems Group (RTS) has opened a new representative office in Hong Kong. According to the company, the new office is part of its ongoing expansion through Asia-Pacific and offers sales and solutions support to Hong Kong-based clients. In addition it will serve as the gateway to the trading communities in China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan.

RTS has also appointed Alec Chan as sales director for North Asia and he will be based in the new office.
