Treasury appointments, June 15

A roundup of the latest CFO and treasurer moves from around the region.

Asia Water Technology: The Singapore-based integrated engineering water treatment solutions provider appointed Ong Chye Hong chief financial officer (CFO) on June 8. Ong replaced Jeffrey Kan Kai Hi who resigned last month and assumed the responsibilities temporarily overseen by executive directors Feng Jun and Liu Yujie. She will be responsible for supervising and overseeing the company's finance and treasury, tax, legal and IT aspects and its operations.

China Agri-Products Exchange: Raymond Sui Wah Leung was appointed CFO of the Hong Kong-based property rental and restaurant operations company on June 8. Leung has more than 18 years of experience in corporate finance, accounting and company secretarial duties in Hong Kong and mainland China. He holds a masters degrees from the University of Hong Kong and City University of Hong Kong. In addition, he is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and of the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries.

DFNN: Edwin B Villaneuva, current director of the Philippine-based information technology services provider, was appointed treasurer of the company and its subsidiaries in addition to his existing duties on June 10. Villanueva is an experienced stock broker and investment banker and is a former member of the Philippine Stock Exchange. He holds a bachelors degree in management engineering from Ateneo De Manila University and a masters degree in business administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dizon Copper-Silver Mines: Madelyn L Mesina resigned as chief accountant of the Philippine-based mining company, effective July 15. Mesina joined Dizon Copper-Silver Mines in November 2003 after working as chief accountant at the Insurance Brokers Network. The company is searching for her replacement.

Valuetronics Holdings: The Singapore-based electronic manufacturing services provider appointed Tony Wan Kit Kwong group financial controller on June 9. Kwong joined Valuetronics Holdings from Pricewaterhouse Coopers in Hong Kong where he was a senior manager of auditing. He is responsible for financial and management accounting, tax, internal and external reporting matters of the group and to ensure proper compliance with the relevant accounting standards, listing rules and regulations.

ZZNode Technologies Company: The operational software support development provider appointed Lam Sze Ki to replace company secretary and qualified accountant Tsoi Lai Kwan on June 7. Lam has considerable experience in accounting, auditing and corporate advisory services. She holds a bachelors degree in professional accountancy from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and is an associate member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
