Treasury appointments, April 27

A roundup of the latest CFO and treasurer moves from around the region.

AgriNurture: The Philippines-based supplier of fresh and processed agricultural food products appointed Byron de Peralta as vice-president of finance during a board of directors meeting on April 20.

Greentown China Holdings: The China property developer announced that chief financial officer, company secretary and qualified accountant Jim Lam will resign from all three posts on April 28. Cheng Pik Yuk will take on the role of company secretary on the same day. She is currently a corporate services director of Tricor Services. A replacement CFO and qualified accountant has yet to be named.

Metro Alliance: Imelda S. Reyes will be appointed compliance officer and finance manager of the Philippine-based manufacturer of chemicals and third-party logistics services provider on April 26. She replaces Janice Concepcion A Dungca who resigned due to family commitments. Reyes has more than 12 years of managerial experience in finance and accounting. In addition, she is a certified public accountant, certified internal auditor and holds a master degree in business administration.

MoneyGram International: Nigel Lee was appointed executive vice-president for Asia-Pacific, Africa, the Middle-East and Europe at the payment services provider on April 22. Lee is based in Singapore and will report to MoneyGram chairman and chief executive Pamela H Patsley. He will be responsible for growing MoneyGram's business in the four regions; they currently account for 30% of total revenue at the company. Lee joins MoneyGram from First Data Asia-Pacific where he was president. He holds a masters degree from Imperial College in London, an MBA from Manchester Business School and is a chartered member of the Institute of Marketing in the United Kingdom.

MoneyGram recently expanded its Asia-Pacific network to Indonesia's Mutiara Bank and Vietnam's Sacombank.  

Pepsi-Cola: The beverage company appointed Akash Shah CFO for the Philippines on April 19. He has been CFO of Pepsi-Cola's operations in Thailand since 2009 and has been at the company for more than seven years. He holds a bachelor degree from Queen's University and a masters from the European Institute of Business Administration.

Renewable Energy Asia: The Singapore-based company has appointed Yap Koon Loong CFO effective June 6. Yap will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and finance function of the company and liaising with the company's auditor and bankers on finance related issues. He was previously deputy director of finance at Excelpoint Systems.
