Maia to head HSBC Australia

Paulo Maia will move from Brazil to take over as HSBC's CEO in Australia, effective July 1.

HSBC continues to shuffle talent around the globe, bringing Paulo Maia across from Brazil to take on the bank's top job in Australia. Maia has been deputy CEO of HSBC in Brazil since April 2008. He has over 25 years' experience in banking across three continents -- other than Brazil, Maia has also spent time in the UK and the US.
