Nomura makes several high-level appointments

The Japanese bank draws on the Lehman talent pool to appoint new regional heads of investment banking and fixed income.

Glenn Schiffman, formerly of Lehman Brothers, has been appointed NomuraÆs head of Asia-Pacific investment banking, while Thomas Siegmund and Jai Rajpal carry the mantle of joint heads of fixed income for the region.

SchiffmanÆs previous role at Lehman Brothers was head of investment banking, Asia ex-Japan. His new role, which has Asia-Pacific as its scope, means that Australia will be an additional responsibility. Toshiyasu Iiyama has been given the position of co-head of Asia-Pacific investment banking.
