Asian banks want to grow primarily in the region and are using retail banking as their main vehicle for expansion. These are some of the main findings of research recently undertaken by Accenture and headed by Pascal Gautheron, a partner at the firmÆs Asia-Pacific financial services practice.
Earlier this year, Accenture surveyed bank executives from across the world to uncover what factors motivate geographic expansion in the sector, and the methods adopted by different parties.
