Among other things, Chung will be responsible for raising capital and providing risk management solutions for Korean government entities, quasi-government institutions and leading local corporates.
Chung, who has been with Deutsche Bank since 2001, was previously co-head of equity sales for Asia, based in Hong Kong. He will re-locate to Korea for his new job and will report locally to Soo-Ryong Kim, chairman and chief country officer for Korea. Regionally, he will answer to Loh Boon Chye, who is the bankÆs head of global markets for Asia.

Having started his career as a lawyer, Chung has more than 11 yearsÆ financial markets experience. Before he joined Deutsche he was a director of Asian equity sales at Merrill Lynch and also worked in equity sales at SBC Warburg in Hong Kong and as an equity analyst in Korea for the same bank.
