Bank of America names new Australia head

Thomas Pascarella is promoted from senior corporate finance officer to country executive in Australia.
Bank of America has appointed Thomas Pascarella as the bankÆs country executive for Australia.

Pascarella will report to Colm McCarthy, who is president, Asia. Pascarella's responsibilities will include growing the bankÆs relationships with its multinational and Australian clients, through support of their domestic and international requirements for credit, debt capital raising, transactional services and risk management, says the bank.

ôWe have been investing in our Australia business and are pleased with the growth that we have seen, especially in recent years," says McCarthy. "Tom brings with him the right mix of skills and experience to ensure that we maintain our focus."

Pascarella, who joined Bank of America in 2002, served as a senior corporate finance officer in Australia where he originated and structured transactions, as well as advised on credit risk, debt markets and corporate restructuring. Covering the media, telecommunications and entertainment sector, Pascarella was previously director of business development at Foxtel in Sydney and a banker at Banque Paribas, Citibank and Chase Manhattan Bank.
