With the markets all but closed, there really was no excuse not to come and drink wine with the FinanceAsia team. And so many structurers in town did just that. Equity derivatives teams from Barclays Capital, BNP Paribas, Citi, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan, SociTtT GTnTrale and UBS were out in force, drinking next to the shark tank at the trendy private club, M1NT, in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong.
But it wasnÆt all just about the drink û there was time for speeches from the award winners. And, as you see, plenty of photo opportunities. ThereÆs no doubt that 2007 was a testing time for the industry, but many desks in Asia have prospered despite the conditions and created value for their clients. We congratulate you on these efforts.
