Carlyle buys Tokyo nursing homes

The firm pays $137 million to acquire the assets from the Goodwill Group in its latest Asian real estate investment.

Carlyle has bought the land and buildings of four Bon Sejour Grand resident-paid nursing homes in Tokyo for Ñ14.6 billion $137 million.

Carlyle said its acquisition will help stabilise the operations of the properties, which are assisted living facilities for the elderly, and that it is committed to continuing to extend quality care to the residents.
