Citigroup brews expanded research role for Brueschke

Citigroup consolidates regional media and internet research coverage under one banner.
Citigroup has announced that Jason Brueschke will take on an expanded role in its media team. With immediate effect, Brueschke sees his title changed to head of media research for Asia-Pacific within Citigroup Investment Research.

He will continue to be based in Hong Kong and maintains his reporting line to Adrian Faure, director of Asia-Pacific research.

Brueschke rises to the newly created role from his former title as head of China internet research, and comes as Citigroup consolidates internet and media into one team.

Upon taking the new role, Brueschke will be responsible for coordinating the media and internet product across the region with Rohit Sobti in Hong Kong, Princy Singh in India, Charles Uhm in Korea, Lim Jit Soon in Singapore, Terry Meensok in Thailand and Teh Chi-chang in Malaysia.

He will also take the lead in creating a series of flagship platform products for Citigroup, the first of which was the recently published "The Rogues Gallery" by Uhm, who initiated coverage of the Korean online gaming sector.
