Asia (ex Japan) issuers have raised a total of $2.5bn through 22 deals this week, down 18% from the $3.1bn raised last week via 31 deals.
The largest deal of the week was a $952m IPO by Jiangxi Bank Co Ltd with China Construction Bank Corp - CCB, CITIC Securities, AMTD Group Co Ltd, Essence Securities Co Ltd, China Merchants Bank Co Ltd, Industrial & Commercial Bank of China - ICBC, China Everbright Bank Co Ltd, Haitong Securities Ltd, and Industrial Securities Co Ltd as bookrunners.
Asia (ex Japan) ECM transaction in the Finance sector this YTD stands at $15.5bn via 60 deals, down from the $21.7bn raised in 2017 YTD via 75 deals. Average deal size decreased by $32m to $258m this YTD.
Goldman Sachs leads the ECM league table with $11.6bn in 2018 YTD, followed by Citi with $9.7bn and Morgan Stanley is third with $8.1bn.

Asia (ex Japan) international DCM decreased by 32% to $1.8bn via 7 deals this week from the $2.6bn via 9 deals last week.
The largest deal of the week goes to Industrial & Commercial Bank of China – ICBC priced a $700m US$-denominated bond with Agricultural Bank of China Ltd, Arab Banking Corp - BSC, Bank of China, Bank of Communications Co Ltd, Bank of Shanghai Co Ltd, China Construction Bank Corp - CCB, China Minsheng Banking Corp Ltd, DBS, HSBC, Industrial & Commercial Bank of China - ICBC, Industrial Bank Co Ltd, and Standard Chartered Bank as bookrunners.
International DCM volume by Asian (ex Japan) Finance issuers stands at $74.5bn via 224 deals this YTD, 22% decrease from the $95.6bn raised in the same period last year, despite increase of deals from 184 deals. Average size of such deals decreased by $187m to $333m this year to date.
HSBC leads the International DCM league table in 2018 YTD with $15.1bn. This is followed by Citi with $10.4bn, and Standard Chartered Bank with $8.4bn.
