White & Case adds to China practice

The US law firm has hired a new partner to beef up its China M&A and capital markets expertise.

White Case has hired Julian Chung from Ropes Gray as a partner in its Hong Kong office.

Chung has 26 years of experience in public MA and equity capital markets transactions in China and other parts of Asia, including Vale’s listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.  He also recently advised on the reverse takeover of China Daye Non-Ferrous Metals Mining Limited through the injection of $900 million of copper assets.
