Deutsche unwraps Packham

GTB division welcomes new regional trade finance head.

Deutsche Bank has brought in Roger Packham as its regional trade finance head for global transaction banking (GTB), in an ongoing regional push. Packham will report directly to Thomas DuCharme, regional head of trade finance and cash management corporates - GTB for Asia Pacific.

He switches to Deutsche from Citigroup where he has worked in a variety of trade roles for the last eight years. Most recently, he was regional trade services product manager Asia Pacific, global transaction services.

Before his lengthy Citigroup tenure, Packham held senior positions at both Westpac Banking and HSBC in the UK, Hong Kong and Australia. He is also an associate with the Chartered Institute of Bankers, London.

His hire comes one week after an announcement that Elwin Karyadi has been moved to Deutsche's Indonesia GTB operations as head of the product and cash management team for domestic custody services.
