Photos: 8th Borrowers and Investors Forum, North Asia

Representatives of the region's corporations, plus the buy-side and the sell-side, gather in Hong Kong to hear about the latest trends in Asia's fixed income market.

Leading borrowers and investors gathered in Hong Kong last month for FinanceAsia's 8th Borrowers and Investors Forum, North Asia.

A day of lively debate at the Ritz-Carlton heard a range of views on key topics of the day — including the growing need for infrastructure funding as China pushes forward its ambitious Belt and Road Initiative; opportunities in distressed debt and non-performing loans; and developments in the region's bond markets in early 2017.

One discussion centred on the future of the bank capital market in Asia as banks raise funds to cope with new regulatory requirements.

The event will be followed by our 6th Borrowers and Investors Forum Southeast Asia, in Singapore next week.
