ICBC completes sixth biggest FIG G3 bond in Asia (ex Japan) in 2015 YTD

A total of $911 million has been raised in the Asian equity capital markets through 23 deals so far this week, down on the $2.3 billion raised in the same period last week.

That brings Asia (ex Japan) ECM volume to $197.2 billion so far this year and up 45% on 2014 YTD ($135.5 billion).

The largest deal of the week is Anhui Sierte Fertilizer Industry’s $168 million follow-on through sole bookrunner Guoyan Securities.

CITIC Securities maintains its leads in the league table ranking with $14.8 billion. UBS and Goldman Sachs follow with $13.8 billion and $12.8 billion, respectively.

Debt Capital Markets

Four Asia (ex Japan) issuers have tapped the G3 bond market for a total of $3.2 billion so far this week, up 14% on the $2.8 billion raised in the same period last week and pushes regional G3 issuance to $152.9 billion in 2015 YTD, up 4% year-on-year and the highest YTD total on record.

ICBC’s $2.0 billion trade through bookrunners UBS, Goldman Sachs, ICBC, HSBC and Bank of America Merrill Lynch is the largest deal of the week. The deal is also the sixth biggest FIG G3 bond in the region so far this year.

Asia (ex Japan) FIG G3 bond volume has reached $42.5 billion so far this year, the highest YTD total on record and up 28% on 2014 YTD ($33.2bn).

HSBC continues to top the league table ranking with $16.4 billion in 2015 YTD while Citi and JPMorgan follow with $13.5 billion and $10.9 billion, respectively.
