Mizuho strengthens fixed income

The Japanese lender has made six hires during the past two months as it capitalises on the booming debt market.

Mizuho Securities has been on a hiring spree during the past couple of months in a bid to boost its fixed income capability amid exuberant activity in Asia.

It has hired four salespeople to target China, Singapore and Taiwan, as well as two debt capital markets bankers Anthony Shum, who left Credit Suisse in March last year, and King Lam, who joins the syndicate desk from Deutsche Bank.
